"Envisioning our Adult Childrens' Futures from the Inside Out”

As our children age, many parents face the question of “What is next for my young adult child who has special needs/intellectual disabilities?" Sometimes overwhelm, anxiety, or panic sets in, which can make the search for services even more challenging.

We, Amy McHugh, Nicole Krutzke, and Corina Schad, founders of Mosaic Place, would like to invite you, dear parents, for a conversation and sharing session to support you in this next step of your and your childrens’ lives from a unique angle. Beyond sharing questions, fears, worries, and before getting to the “nitty-gritty” questions and details of funds and services we would like to take you through the process of connecting to the deeper, underlying, inner vision you have for your child’s/childrens’ future. We will hold space for concerns, fears, and worries while we guide you to feel into your hopes and dreams, your childrens’ unique qualities and needs, and the qualities, aspects, and opportunities you would wish your adult child to be surrounded by in this next phase of life. From there we will lead the conversation into “brainstorming” creative ways of following your and your adult childrens’ dreams even if what you envision might not seem to exist. Maybe there are ways and avenues that have not been thought of, that can arise in collaborative sharing and the creative process of connecting to our hopes and dreams together?!
